Return of the Son of the Bride of the Interview Meme from
mirisa_ardruna
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better ! If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate!
3. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
1. What is the earliest memory you have and what are your feelings about it?
Just a few memories from the first house we had in New York -- a duplex on Julia Circle that we rented from the other owner. It was before I started preschool. It's not much -- mostly fragments, like playing in the wood chips in the front yard with my sister, or on the fireplace (and getting yelled at by Mom about cracking my head open). I also remember the time my sister fell on her head at the playground with the babysitter, and the time we all had to go to the hospital, since Dad blinded himself with a mercury lamp, though that could have been after we moved. I don't have a very clear memory about my early childhood, which kind of annoys me, and makes me wonder if other peoples' memories are like mine.
2. What has been your most unexpected love?
I don't know. Maybe the times I used to walk about on game days back in Nebraska -- I never cared much for sports, and now I have to wonder how much of that was just backlash against something popular and ever-present.
3. If everything you have, tangible and intangible, was taken away from you except for one thing, what would you LEAST want to be left with and why?
My anxiety. My friend Ryan once told me after I mentioned my Spring Break plans (getting everything squared away so when I got back, I didn't have to do anything) that he thought I was very together, and I had to laugh. I worry a lot and at the bad points, it's probably the worst I've ever felt. So, wanna drop it out the airlock. Thankfully, things are getting much better about it.
4. What is one thing you could NEVER be persuaded to do, even if bribed with everything your heart desires and more, and why won't you do it?
I honestly have no idea, though I do think it would be much easier to threaten me than to bribe me. Right now, I am content with my life and where it's headed, and I don't think anyone could offer me my heart's desire on a silver platter. I want to earn it -- all of it hinges on my own accomplishments, so that can't be given. So, probably the most they would get out of me is minorly inconveniencing me and possible sacrifices of replaceable personal property.
5. Think about what possession you have is the unlikeliest for you to own. Now, tell me how you acquired it and what your feelings about it are.
I don't really know what people think is typical. Maybe the small statue of Saint Teresa I keep around near the photo of my grandmother -- she gave it to me, so it's special. But it's not something I'd pick up for myself.
