Cloggage in the Intertubes

I called Time-Warner after noticing that everything on the computer was working, but there was no Internet. The nice customer service lady, who was probably quickly becoming a cranky customer service lady, noted there was an outage in my area, and to try again later. So, to test whether it was Time Warner or on a public line, I went to Borders with the laptop.
Of course, with my luck, things were cleared up as soon as I went outside.
But, maybe with limited internet, I'll get some work done.
Plus, if I was home, I could use the ping function to make a map of the internet -- I was discovering I could get to Cornell's servers, get to Mozilla with difficulty, and not reach Apple or Google. The things I do to procrastinate...
