Back in the Midwest

So, travel wasn't that bad. I got about 2 hours of sleep on Tuesday, but I can never sleep well before a flight.
I got to the airport at 5:15, when my flight was due to leave at 6. Yes, I know the 'hour before you leave' rule, but the Ithaca airport is seriously small -- plus, the taxi was late. I got through security about the time the plane should have boarded, but I know better than to expect any 'first flight' from Ithaca to take off on time, especially in the winter.
This was longer than expected. The amount of baggage meant that two people boarded had to be pushed to a later flight -- as in, the plane had to fly with two empty seats, because people had so much stuff. They also had to plow the runway so the flight could take off. As a result, we took off about an hour late, and I slept through the entire flight.
We landed in Detroit about the time my flight to Minneapolis was due to start boarding. It could have been worse -- people in the cabin noted the flight was landing when their flight had to take off. The desk folks were busy rescheduling those people, so I decided not to ask them to call ahead and tell them I was on my way, and just decided to hoof it to the other terminal. I made it just for the last call for boarding. Slept on this flight, too.
Minneapolis was painless, despite the fact I had to figure out the layout of that airport. I was awake for this one, and we landed early. Mom was there, because she stalks the 'flight status' pages on the Internet.
The apartment isn't bad -- there's wireless, but it's a bit flaky on occasion. I'm sleeping on an air mattress in Ben's room, because it's the place away from the cats. The cats haven't adapted to the move. Geno just thinks it's fine to be nocturnal, despite all attempts to get him to go to sleep when the humans are asleep. Peppy is stress-grooming, to the point where he threw up three times today -- mostly hair, rather than kibble. Both kitties are on drugs to attempt to calm them down, but it's not working much.
I also did all my grading today. Yay, done for the semester!
