Yeah. He could be a pain in the butt (he never learned how to sleep through the night without bothering any human he could find, and he made it his life's mission to find a way outside*), but he was pretty chill around people (not dogs: Geno hated/was terrified of dogs).
* He was banned from outside after he spent 24 hours in the neighbor's tree crying every time he saw a human walking around. A fireman even came out for a consult and noted he didn't think he could get to Geno safely because of where in the tree he was. He eventually was persuaded down with the offer of cold cuts and the realization that, no, a human couldn't come and get him as he was 20 feet in the air.
