UWyo Dorm Life
Jun. 1st, 2004 06:13 pmSome obvious differences to UNL's Dorm Life have come to my attention.
First of all, the ID cards. In addition to using it for access to cafeteria food, Union purchases, computer lab access and the general ability to prove yes, you ARE a student and/or employee of the University, UWyo cards are also required to do laundry on campus and get into the dorms. Now, the laundry thing I don't mind -- instead of a stop at the Front Desk to get quarters, I have to make a stop to add money to my account for laundry. And, hey, I can use the spare moeny for non-food Union purchases. The dorm thing... well, I might not mind, if my card had been keyed to my dorm. As is, I have to ring the front desk every time I'm not with Kim-roommate.
Then there's the room doors. Tehy have a combination llock, which I do like, once I learned the right combination from the roommate. One less key to keep track of, and no chance of me locking myself out of the room when I go to visit the bathroom.
