An Anti-Semetic website has Googlebombed the word 'Jew' so that if you search with that word in Google and hit the "I'm Feeling Lucky" function, you will get their hate page.

To counteract this, she has asked people to start linking to Jew.

Just copy and paste this into your own journal (changing [] to <>):
[a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jew"]Jew[/a]

Pass it on, post it yourself, make a public entry for Google to find because hate should not win. (I'd also recommend unchecking the box that stops Google from searching your journal for the time being).

Let's googlebomb them back and get that word away from a site that shouldn't be allowed to even exist.

To elaborate: This is the same thing that caused President GW Bush's name to come up if you typed "miserable failure" into Google and hit 'I'm Feeling Lucky!' More information about this.

Summer and Science

Well, I'm getting details hammered out for my internship. I will be away from Lincoln from June 1 to July 30 -- possibly longer if my mentor wants me to. Added to that, I will be gone from May 8th to May 20th out of the country. Yeah... I will have my computer with me at my internship. Dad said he'd drive me out.

I'm presenting a poster at the Undergrad Research Conference on Friday the 23rd from 3:30 to 5 -- drop by if you livce near Lincoln. It is 'educated layperson', so don't feel intimidated.

Gee, with that and my big MARAC (Mid-America Reguional Astrophysics Conference) and Astronomy Day weekend on the 16-18, I feel like a real scientist.
