Nov. 23rd, 2004 03:33 pmDear people in my chem lab,
Do you have no concept of lab procedure? When weighing out powder, do not put extra back into the container. In fact,I'veseen you do this with anything and everything you've used in lab. God only knows when/if you've washed your glassware -- I saw how my stuff looked when I first got it.
And don't tare the balance so that your beaker reads as 0. Not only is this poor lab procedure -- I believe it reduces accuracy -- but it also is a pain forother users (read: me) to retare the scale every time I need to weigh out something. Granted, it's on the annoyance level of leaving the toilet seat up, but still.
In other news, my first teaching gig went well, even if I need to slow down so students can copy things down more quickly. Either that or they need to learn to take better notes -- I think it's me.
I'm going home for the weekend. Don'te xpect to see me on LJ until Sunday. I will try to use my mother's computer, but it hates me.
