(no subject)

No, I'm not back yet (Tomorrow, but don't expect me to be functional until evening -- evil early-morning flight + time change that puts me in Lincoln around noon, despite getting on the plane around 6:30). But I did manage to snag one of the ten computers Apple loaned the AAS for internet use. Eh, most people seem to have laptops with or without wireless. Expect a full report (complete with ramblings on astronomy you probably don't care about and some you do) when I get back.

Why is my email running so goshdarned slowly? I'm only supposed to have 15 minutes on this thing, and there's a talk at 8:30?

Weather's finally nice -- my favorite kind of weather (well, about 5 degrees cooler than my favorite kind of weather). It rained until Tuesday or so, flooding a neazrby creek-thingee (and streets on the other side) -- to the point where the hotel waa using a golf cart to ford the stream and I got to see professors with bare feet navigating the streets between the hotel and local mall.
