Random Caps are Fun
Jun. 22nd, 2005 01:44 amSometimes I wish the English language had a word for 'Thinking a villain is awesome, and makes the series stand out, since he is clever and going to be a challenge for the protagonists to overocme, but also recognizing that he is Not a Nice Person and wanting to see him fall because of it, preferably in a believable way that shows how competent (not lucky or magical) the heroes have become. With doses of fascination and creeped-out-ness.'
Mainly because it would serve as a nice intermediaty for fans who think a villain Just Needs True Luv/Hot Sex (tm) or Is Secretly a Good Guy (tm) (No, Pokemon Rocketshipping fandom, don't try to tell me that Ash and company are really the bad guys, and that a group of self-professed Pokemon thieves are the Real Heroes. Because I will Laugh in Your Faces.) and those fans who have a villain for being a villain, and don't seem to get that the villain has an important role in the story, and it's okay for them to be OMG!SoMeeeeen to the heroes.
