Random Moment of Surrealness
Dec. 21st, 2005 01:25 amSo, I can't find one of my gaming books (my Dungeon Master's Guide for all those who care), and am Vaguely Annoyed. I don't think it's in my apartment in Ithaca, and it's not here. So, when I was out at the used book shop -- there's a nice one in Lincoln that carries a crazy amount of science fiction/fantays books, plus the occasional graphic novel and a shelf full of roleplaying books (mostly White Wolf and d20) -- I spootted a used copy for half off. It was 3.0, but hell, I can get the errata from the internet. While I was looking at the price, I noticed that the previous owner had written his name in the cover (or had printed out labels with the name). I recognized it -- it was Joe, who went to my high school and was in the first game of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons I ever played (I was an elf named Stareyes, and he was a character who got polymorphed into a halfling, since he couldn't remember that this chcharacter was not the halfling he played in his other game).
I'm not allowed in that store when they have D&D books (Or any other gaming books of systems I play). I spend money on things I don't need.
