This is the first time I've been sicker than 'mild cold' in two years* -- not counting 'injured in car accident', of course. I have to say, it's just as awful as I remember it. Around mid-day yesterday, about half an hour into the NaNo write-in, my digestive tract decided it needed to take emergency measures and 'flush the system'. That was about as fun for me as it sounded, especially when I was a half-hour bus trip from home. I got home and spent much of the next 18 hours asleep, trying to keep a small amount of food down, and remembering not to let myself get dehydrated. I'm mostly better now, though I'm still ranging from 'I haven't eaten a real meal since Saturday' and 'the thought of food makes me ill'.
* Conveniently once I stopped living in a dorm and teaching students who did, my chances of getting the flu over the winter plummeted.
Stupid stomach flu.
