So, I saw a comment somewhere pointing out on all election maps, it was hard to get a sense of who was winning, since the West is giant stretches of wilderness (and also Republicans). So, I doodled this up -- a map scaled by electoral votes. I'm sure other maps like this exist.

Colors are from 538.com -- their models about how the election will fall. The big black spot is Lake Michigan. The tiny red and blue boxes are because Nebraska and Maine divide their electoral votes.
