And today's meme is brought to you by the letter... S!

1. Sylphiel nes Lahda, Slayers. Sylphiel is... interesting. She is mostly a plot character, but I wouldn't mind seeing more from her POV. She shows some strength of character while dealing with the sheer amount of crap the series heaps on her (She shows up twice. Both times her home city is destroyed and her family and friends killed. I hope during TRY and Revolution, she's camped out with the extended family mentioned in the novels and taking advantage of as much mental help as the Slayers universe gets.)
   
2. Sokka, Avatar: the Last Airbender Okay, so Uncle Iroh was my favorite Avatar character right off. Sokka became my second favorite, for two reasons. The first is dealing with the fact he's the non-magic one in a cool way -- he went from a novice to the cool guy with a sword. (Katara did much the same for that matter -- both started off as relative novices, and turn into badasses. Katara's just happened a bit more dramatically until Season 3.) The second is that he is fricken hilarious. I heard somewhere that Sokka was only written as a funny guy once his VA (a comedian) was cast. Good job!
   
   (I want to also include Suki here, but I'm trying to cast my net broadly.)
   
3. Shannon Casull Scrapped Princess What can I say? I am a sucker for the entire Casull family. And especially Shannon's 'protective older brother'.
   
4. Susan Ivonova Babylon 5. I need to get off my behind and finish Babylon Five. Needless to say, Susan is an interesting character with some damn good lines.
   
5. Adelbert Steiner, Final Fantasy 9. What can I say? I have a soft spot for the duty-bound characters, especially when you smash their worldviews to little tiny pieces in the name of character development. I liked Steiner and Beatrice, and Steiner and Vivi and Steiner and Garnet and Steiner and Zidane -- Steiner just had a bunch of win when interacting with the rest of the cast.
