A little help for a RPer...

beccastareyesFor a D20 Modern (Urban Archana) game I'm playing I have a character concept, but I need some help fleshing it out.
The world is basically ours, but with this concept of 'The Veil' -- magic and other races (like elves and such) exist, but are hidden from normal eyes. An elf may just appear as a skinny human, and a Fireball may just look like someone tossed explosives. Some people (read: anyone who is anyone, includign the PCs) can see past The Veil.
Anyways, my characetr concept is a devout Christian who is the member of the clergy (priest, minister, pastor -- I haven't quite decided yet). As the game begins, he is starting to see past the Veil and is interpreting it in the only way he really sees as 'real' -- angels and demons.
Problem is, while I have a decent general knowledge of Christianity, I know nothing of what it takes to become a clergyman (I know it depends on the sect, and that Catholics have to take a vow of celibicy and go to semenary -- my uncle nearly became a Catholic priest). So if anyone can give me rundowns on the differences between sects and the process of becoming a clergyman, I will love you muchly.
