Okay, real update

beccastareyesI'm heading to Boston tomorrow -- not to visit family, but for a conference. Though if folks in that area want to hang out, there will be a nice public astronomy lecture on the Harvard campus on Monday. (Seriously, who doesn't love extrasolar planets?)
Anyway, because I have yet to maintain a stable weight (and a lot of my clothing gets ratty pretty quickly), I picked up some dress clothing. And half a dozen T-shirts. It was kind of amusing to watch what drew my eyes in the clothing store(s) -- bright colors and tie-dye and broomstick skirts, and colorful knee-high socks instead of stockings. And also black pants, because they're a staple of my 'I'm not wearing jeans, so that counts as dressed up' wardrobe. It's a good thing I'm an academic, because the business world would probably think I was crazy. (Already I might look more like a hippie English major, but I am a Cornellian, so that's probably expected.)
Anyway, I'm skipping anime club tonight because I still have some changes to make to my talk (and I'll bet I'll be tweaking it later, as well). After that, artses!
