There are too many... even if I limit myself to ones I have personally made up, or anime, or books, I still have several I'm fond of. A partial list:
Anime/Manga/Video Games:
Kane Blueriver, Rayle Claymore, Zelgadis Greywords, Xellos, Gourry Gabriev, Van Fanel, Allen Schezar, Chiriko, Chichiri, Chid, Dilandau Albatou*
I think my overall favorite in the group is Zel, but mostly because I am in a Slayers phase.
Books:
Rincewind, DEATH*, Carrot Ironfounderson, Dorfl, Reg Shoe, Sma Vimes, Reverend Oates, Ponder Stibbons, Willian deWorde, Otto Chreik, Havelock Vetinari, King Verence II, Faramir, Samwise Gamgee, Gimli, Lu Tze and the other Time Monks (Qu, the Abbot, etc.)
I would say this list is a toss-up between Otto and Oates. How can you not love a vampire allergic to his flashgun? And I also like Oates' thought processes... he's a nice follow up to Small Gods.
Original Comic/Roleplaying characters:
All of them... I have problems choosing. For reference, that's Rikayo Darenka, Lord Delwyn Hywel of Hinoiri, Philandre Murchadh, Shashi Matsushita, Miklin D'lani, and others for my comic and Ishi Yamizaki*, Isadore, Mizu Canopus and Metztl Balam for recent RP characters.
Well of my comic characters, I'd say Riki is my favorite... he's just so cute. OF my roleplaying characters, I'd say Ishi is -- I wrote up a 3 page backstory I'm keeping current, for crying out loud.
*Ones whose male-ness is in doubt, for different reasons.
Who is your favorite female character?
*sighs* See the preceding question:
Anime/Manga/Video Games:
Amelia wil tesla Sailoon, Lina Inverse, Hitomi Kanzaki, Millerna Aston, Celena Schezar, Integra Hellsing, Princess Zelda (from the Ocarina of Time), Millie Nocturne, Canal Vorfeed, Yomiko Readman, Little Washu, Sasami
Amelia is probably my favorite... she is just so cute.
Books:
Eowyn, Cheri Littlebottom, Angua, Granny Weatherwax, Nany Ogg, Magrat Garlick, Anges Nitt, Susan Sto Helit, Nymphadora Tonks
I think I like Granny best.... she's proof good!=nice. That and I want to inflict Discworld elves on fantasy fangirls at large (especcially Legolas fangirls) and I'll need her to clean up the mess.
Original Comic/Roleplaying characters:
Again, all of them: Melody, Alriai Aborin, Phillee, Faris Kimiko al Fahd, Aris Darenka, Saria Terrence, Elise Connor (comic) and Tulip Cottonbale, Willow Lawrence, Alcyone (RPG)
This one is harder...I'm not sure who my favorite is on the list.
What is your favorite scene from your favorite show?
End of Slayers NEXT? That's cliche, I know.
What character do you relate to the most?
Depends on my mood. Sometimes I feel like Amelia -- because she is cheerful and good-natured, and out to save the world. Other times, I feel snarky and critical. Then there are my geeky momemts... it's hard
What was your favorite cartoon when you were a kid?
Seabert the Seal. I liked made-for-video help-the-animals cartoons. Especially when it featured two kids and their baby seal.
Who is your favorite superhero?
I don't think I have one... I watch too much anime. Cna I give a prop to
Who is your favorite villainess?
I'm not much of a villain fangirl, but I'd have to say Evil Princess Sara 8-bit Theater.
What kind of comic books do you read?
Fantasy manga. And webcomics.
Do you act as one of your favorite characters?
When I'm in a goofy mood or roleplaying
If you were any character, who would you be?
Yomiko Readman. Coolest. Superpower. Ever.
What sort of things you didn't expect in your favorite show:
Considering my favorite show is Slayers right now... not much.
What's your favorite genre?
Fantasy, on the boundry between comedy and light drama.
When creating a character, do you base your character on yourself or the people around you?
Not directly. I mean, I've learned how real people act form how I act and how the people around me act, but I don't say 'Character X is like Person Y except...' until after Character X has been developed.
What do you think of Mary Sue?
Mary Sue, eh? I think she's fine and dandy as long as she stays in her place -- either the author's head or a beat-up notebook she passes around to all her friends.
In the future...
I have grading to do. Bye!
