beccastareyesI got LUNAR Legends today for my Game Boy. I also discovered that in addition to my Insecure Artist Syndrome, I have Insecure Writer Syndrome. Basically, I am overly critical of my own writing, far moreso than I am of others' writing. Occasionally it can be troubling (as in when I worry about what my betareader will think, so debate sending it to her at all), but usually it keeps me writing better... yuuo is a good beta for me -- she has just the right mix of suggestions to improve my stories, reassurance and just plain being there to talk about plot with.
If you couldn't tell, I sent the first chapter of my Escaflowne-fic (which needs a title @_@) to her for beta-ing... we discovered two parts I need to rewrite to fit better with the series, and she's going through for grammar right now.
Ya know, the world would be a better place if all writers with IWS took steps to improve their writing (like using beta-readers) rather than begging for validation by asking for reviews and mistaking any constructive reviews for flames.
