So, I'm at the Student Observatory and have gotten about halfway done with my shift. It's the first clear Monday in a while and the place is packed. So, of course the dome breaks -- the shutter will go up but not down. Since I have to lower the shutter to check out objects near overhead, this is a PROBLEM. So, I shoo the students out ant try to get a hold of someone who knows how to close the dome manually. Jeff finally manages to get Dr. Gaskell on the cell phone and he has us run a few tests. Seems this is a reoccurring problem with the dome and he tells us to close up, make a note in the log book, and he'll talk to the guys in the Electronic Shop in the morning. Jeff and Dr.Scarborough levae learly, leaving me to use a hooked metal rod larger than I am to manually crank the dome close.

The first one as form last night and it was over the correct pronouciation of yaoi... yes, we snicker over people who pronouce it yow-ee rather than yoy or ya-oy, but really... the OP is being far more of a rabid fan than the yaoi fangirls she is mocking. Then, later on, she makes a post complainig about how there are no strong women in anime and most anime females are the sweet housewife type. The irony is that she is doing this with an Integra icon. She then claims this is why there is so much yaoi.
