A random drabble...

1/3 Human

You always mention the human last. When you tell people what you are, it's always the same" 1/3 Brau Demon, 1/3 Rock Golem, 1/3 Human. You always place it last, and I don't know why. Perhaps because you think it's the least important, in a way. I know it's the part you treasure most, but you focus more on what you lack than what you have, do you know that? It's more important that that 2/3 human is missing, than that the 1/3 human remains.
It's true, on the outside, you have only a little humanity remaining. You could only be mistaken for a human from a distance or in the dark -- you are still human shaped, but the demon and golem parts mark you.
Your eyes... they don't have the indiscriminate malevolence of a demon or the passive soullessness of a golem, though. They show sadness, anger, even, on rare occasions, joy -- all human emotions.
Your voice, as well... neither demons nor golems have true voices. And yours... it is still human; if someone were to meet you by voice alone, they would never know until you told them that you weren't just an ordinary man.
But the most important thing is you yourself. You care about others, even if you are loathe to admit it, and we care about you back. And this is why you are not a monster, because you care. Deny it all you want, but the day you stop caring about us or people like us will be the day you truly become the monster you say you are and the day that 1/3 human that you hold onto and hide at the end of your sentences will be gone forever.
