Rebecca's Weird Dream

beccastareyesOkay, as promised in my pervious entry, here is a descritpion of my narrative dream. It happened at 5:00 GMT on Monday morning, more or less. I recorded it in a notebook upon waking, as I knew I would forget before getting to LJ or my computer, andit was a good dream.
First of all, even though I have no memory of the dream, it felt like it was reoccuring. The opening felt like I had seen it before. It seems to be set somewhere on the coasts -- I want to say East Coast, near New York. It started with a young girl -- Hispanic and about 10 and having a twin sister -- goign to a shop on an errand for a parent and getting attacked. She was rescued, but the attacker got away. No, I don't rememeber who rescued her, but I was a witness.
I suppose I should mention that I was not Rebecca in the dream. The odd thing was that she (or me -- I hate pronouns) was present. Jenn was also present, but i think she was either a twin to or older than Rebecca and was married. The person I was seemed to be based off of one of my characters, Zackary Marshall, but it wasn't that character exactly. He was younger than the version of Zack I play -- dream-Zack was college aged. While being similar in personality mostly, he lacked Zack's devoutly religious nature. I also think the narrator was a bit of a reformed street punk. The narrator is big into Asian history -- he can speak Chinese and Japanese (And dream-Rebecca can speak Japanese) and delivered a wonderful rant on rabid Japanophile anime fans -- you know, the ons who are convinced that anything Japanese (animation, comics, snack foods, pop music, etc.) is superior to anything Western. He was the twin brother to dream-Rebecca.
So, anyway, it switches to night and the narrator tails a thug (it might be the same guy) after a set of twin boys to a school. The narrator and the thug fight for a while, then the narrator's martial arts instructor comes in and knocks the thug out. The martial arts instructor does a sort of magicy thing and explains the thug was under some sort of mind control.
After the attack, the instructor -- I want to say his name is Pao Li but that feels wrong -- tells us (dream-Rebecca has shown up now) that the true culprit is tyring to go after virgin sets of twins. He said five are needed, then one of us (it gets fuzzy here with the both of us present) says it feels like it should be 6 and he corrects himself. The instructor suspetcs a rival -- he gives a name that ends in Li, which is sp[elled wiht a nasty character. The narrator suspects that his teacher and the rival may be twins themselves but says nothing. He mentions insisting that the narator step up his martial arts trainign and that dream-Rebecca start magical training.
Later, a yougn Vietimese girl (Another twin -- we can se her sister lurking in the backgorund) wanders in looking for the instructor, followed by a bunch of construction workers that make the narrator jumpy. All of us (both pairs of twins, the narrator, and dream-Rebecca) are present in the room, which looks like an auditorium of some sort. The girl says her name is Nguyen and she greets the narrator in a language he doesn't speak. She asks to speka wiht the instructor and they go off for a bit. Tehn they return, the instructor wants to try a sort of meditative techique that will let them look back in tiem. He, the twins, the narrator, and dream-Rebecca join hands and clear their minds.
I then see a meteorite hit an icy plane, frying a penguin. THe frozen crpse is discovered and brought to a museum. One of the emloyees -- Loius -- trys to frame his coworker, an elderly woman, for its theft usign a doctored video tape. The narrator -- forgetitng he is little more than a spirit here -- trys to barge in to stop him...
And this is where I woke up.
I'm not to certian why I wasn't me in the dream, though it did feel funny, as if I realized I wasn't me and was trying to deal with it.
