May. 28th, 2004 01:28 amSo, I did some pre-travel shopping...
I noticed that Shopko puts the pads and tampons in the same aisle as the condoms. And, yes I guess that makes a certain degree of superficial sense, since they both have to do with roughly the same area of the body, but I really have to wonder about the logic behidn that. I don't know about most women, but when I am buying 'feminine hygene products', I'm more likely to be thinking 'Goddamnit, these things better not cut out on me, because I'm sick of having to do a load of laundry every day for a week!' than 'I really want to get laid and should make sure my partner and I take precautions'. And, consdiering most of the guys I know, the sheer shock of being anywhere near something that has to do with That Time of the Month will keep them out of that aisle perod. Bad business sense, Shopko.
I leave for Wyoming on Saturday at 8:30 in the morning. The website says hte dorms have internet access. Hooray!
