Okay so I'm working on modifying the spell list from The Slayers d20 RPG to account for things that weren't directly stated in the TV seres -- a lot of making up spells, and a lot of reclassifying and/or modifying spells. I'm uisng Inverse.org's Magic Guide and something someone on a mesage board steered me towards -- QP/Diana's translation of a Japanese site on Slayers magic.
Now, most of the time, they match pretty closely. But then I get to Assha Dist. Book has it as White Magic -- the book seriously underestimates the number of shamanism spells because everyone uses them -- including Black and White magic specialists. Inverse.org has it as an attack Spirit Shamanism spell. QP/Diana's translation has it as a Black Magic spell that works like a single person Blast Ash.
So, good readers, which source should I go with? All other thigns being equal, I would prefer another Black Magic spell -- Shamanism has its' butt kicked when it comes to spell numbers, though Black Magic spells tend to be much more lethal.
