Never mess with a world that is bothe unified and spacefairing. It is easy to beat plowshares into swords and turn one's space fleet into a way to kick major ass. Chemical rockets, fusion generators, anitmatter... even solar sails. How do you turn a sheet of Mylar into a weapon? well, any race that is serious about solar sails will probably need something beyond thier sun as a light source. Can we say giant orbiting lasers? ^_^
