This isn't as much about a good RPer as someone who seems to have a good attitude and could turn into a good RPer.
Okay, so I run a Slayers game, which does accept original characters. And, I ahve gotten some doozies of profiles. For a while I was unable to check my mail because of a bitchy connection, so this application sat for far longer than normal. It also was... er iffy, mainly in the Too Angsty History and Undefined Magic Item department, but there was a side of Canon Confusion. So, anyways, after discussing things with the mods, I sent the applicant an email tellign her I was rejecting her application and the reaosns why. I also explained why I had been so late in getting back to her.
Not only was she cool about my lateness, she was quite willing to reduce the angst factor in her history. She was even willing to take up my offer to discuss the character on AIM if I still had questions or concerns about the application and asked for a story hook if I let her in.
It's mostly the attitude -- most players I get just seem to ignore me once I reject original applications. This one seems friendly and accomidating, something that I see as the foundation for good RP.
