Nov. 27th, 2004 11:58 pmAm vaguely annoyed with school because I found an adorable crochet pattern for shelf-sitters that look like cats in outlandish outfits (one as a flapper, one as an Egyptian Queen, oen in a bikini, etc.) that would have made a beautiful gift for my sister (who is the worst person to shop for ever unless you ask her for a list of CDs or get her a gift certificate to a clothign store). Only a few problems:
1) Cost. It required multiple skiens of eyelash yarn and chenille, both of which are about $5 a skien. Add to that a pattern that was $7 for five cats, plus trim and normal yarn (which is cheap, but...)
2) Time. I do several papers and finals in the next few weeks.
Mom said she'd pick the pattern up for me if she saw it go on sale... then I can wait for yarn to go on sale.
I did get a wreath for my door and some lights to put me in the mood. I even helped make the wreath -- Mom did the bow and instructed me. And about five art mats -- still need frames, but will probably pick up cheap ones at Walgreens or elsewhere.
