Continuing news on my computer

Well, I contacted Dad, and at first he suggested starting sans my startup preferences (the weird macspeak term for this is 'zapping the PROM'). After this failed to work, he is now going to come over tomorrow and look at my computer. He suggested that a reinstall of my OS may be necessary. Ew.
