beccastareyesOver 760 pages of LotR fanfiction on ff.net and only 1 and a half devoted to one of my two ships -- can't even search for the other -- at least not using the method I used -- because Rosie isn't important enough to be listed as a main character.
Half of it isn't very good.
Pros of the release of The Return of the King movie:
There may be more Faramir/Eowyn and Sam/Rosie fic.

crisi83 to my evil shipper ways.
Cons:
Might make Faramir more of a target to Mary Sues -- then again, that's what Legolas is for: Sue bait.
Movie might screw me over and not have those scenes -- though since Rosie has been cast and Eowyn was a important character for TTT, it implies there will be scenes
Most, if not all, fic inspired by/based on the movies only will be bad.
*Sighs* The lament of a canonshipper.
