I'm bored at work -- as usual. I think I will order sushi tonight for dinner, though. I've been craving it recently. I also need to remember to grab a book for uncreativity at anime club.

It seems to me that I am the only person not doing NaNo. Well, I have decided to keep with the writing spirit, to get at least one chapter of my three in-progress fics. Which means squaring away the previous chapters I have outstanding. In the Shadows of the Flames Chapter 2 is on its final rewrite (I hope) -- I am about half done, but I need to add in the lengthening suggestions yuuo gave me. The rough draft of The End is Only the Beginning Chapter 2 has been doen for a while, btu I need to type it up and find a beta reader -- zannechaos did it last time, after my first beta reader did nothing helpful beyond fix my typos, but as she is doing NaNo, I wouldn't ask her to do anything more writing intensive than chatting about story ideas/progress. High Fantasy, Low Humor Chapter 1 is stalled on Insecure Writer Syndrome -- not only am I dealing with an unfamiliar fandom (Excel Saga), but I am writing humor. While I am told I am a good humor writer, my humor is always hit-or-miss. I suppose since the style of Excel Saga is very mcuh a series of rapid fire jokes, as long as I keep that in mind, and have my beta screen for humor, the misses should be outnumbered by the hits. I do have a beta reader for that fic, but she is also doing NaNo.

An outline for the ambitious Slayers fic that's been bouncing around in my head would also be nice, but I'm not greedy.

I left a constructive but unusually negative review today on a Fruits Basket Mary Sue. Wonder if I will get flamed? To be fair, I only read the first chapter, and ntoed this in the review, explaining I was reading fanfic before class and wanted to jot down some notes before I forgot. But, considering I did skip ahead to a later chapter to see if the author's voice got better, and discovered the OC in the arms of Akito (which, ever since the Great FuruBa Manga Incident of 2004 makes me giggle -- it was anime!Akito, though). Did I mention that said character was attending Tohru, Yuki, Kyou, Hatsuharu and Momiji's school... yeah. And this was submitted as a Featured Fanfiction on mm.org -- which just makes me glad that we do screen entries for FFF.

I don't know what I'm going to do for Halloween -- mabye dress up as Yumiko from Hirano's Crossfire manga -- it's a short story set in the same universe as Hellsing, and is about two female agents of Iscariot.
