Got my TA hours assigned (OMG, I'm going to be teaching!) and classes signed up. I might have to drop something -- they recomend one only takes 3 classes and I'm signed up for 4. Probably "Galaxies and Stellar Dynamics", since the two Physics classes I need and Physics of the Planets is a Take It ASAP course for planetary science people -- still haven't decided between planetary science and cosmology, though I think I'm leaning toward planetary science. Cosmology looks like fun, but all that math might get boring after a while.
So, here's my schedule:
Monday
10:00 - 10:40 -- Coffee break with faculty and grad students.
11:15 - 12:05 -- Quantum Mechanics
~12:10 -- Lunch Talk (I don't remember if it's Relativity, Planetary, or Galaxies)
1:00 - 2:15 -- Office Hour
2:30 - 3:20 -- Recitation
Tuesday
8:30 - 9:55 -- Classical Electrdynamics
1:00 - 2:15 -- Office Hour
2:55 - 4:10 -- Physics of the Planets
Wednesday
11:15 - 12:05 -- Quantum Mechanics
~12:10 -- Lunch Talk (I don't remember if it's Relativity, Planetary, or Galaxies)
1:00 - 2:15 -- Office Hour
2:30 - 5:00 -- Lab
Thursday
8:30 - 9:55 -- Classical Electrdynamics
10:00 - 10:40 -- Coffee break with faculty and grad students.
2:55 - 4:10 -- Physics of the Planets
4:10 - 5:10 -- Weekly Colloquium
Friday
11:15 - 12:05 -- Quantum Mechanics
~12:10 -- Lunch Talk (I don't remember if it's Relativity, Planetary, or Galaxies)
1:15 -- TA Meeting
I'm also part of a two person team that's revising the labs so that they don't run in DOS only.
