Long Update on My Boring Life
Sep. 22nd, 2003 08:05 pmSlacked the entire day, then went to a party for my Dad -- he finally got his citizenship, after being in this country for 25 years. Talked to a bunch f chemistry professors who mainly asked me about the normal thing parents' aquainteneces ask a kid -- how's school, what year are you in, etc. We DID make Dad sign the national anthem, and that ended with an argument over the words with his girlfriend -_-.
Spent it all comicing and going to the Physics Dept. picnic. Met dr. gaskell's kids -- from the way Cece talks about them, you'd think they were little homescholed hyperverbal freaks, but Daniel was surprisingly normal. we taught him how to play Ultimate Frisbee. Is that a Nebraska game -- I've never heard of it before coming here.
Had two tests -- Japanese and Thermal Physics -- and we started a new model in Mathematical Biology -- differential equations modeling an organism and an inanimate resource. I also went home to get my winter clothes (I might need clothes) and sleeping bag (friends and I are camping this weekend for Renfest). Mom thinks I'm crazy -- par for the course. Learned my sister thought our cats were gay. Had to break it to my little brother there was goign to be a Kingdom Hearts sequal -- he was trying to make one in RPGMaker. On the plus side, I showed him his name in katakana.
