Code is running. I'm glad it works and I no longer have to deal with figuring out what the errors are, but I also get worried when it runs a long time. If it's not done in 15 minutes, I'll stop the run and spend the rest of the day testing to make sure everything runs separately.

Over the weekend, I did some shopping. It's a bit annoying. Currently I'm about a 18W in pants*, but I'm on a diet aiming for my high school weight. Back then I was anywhere from a 10 to a 14. Right now, my old jeans were too big (as in, I can get them off without undoing the fly), and my really old jeans are too small (and have holes in the seams). So I had to go buy jeans for the 2 months that we won't be in shorts weather, aware that I'm never going to fit in them in the fall if things go according to plan. Worse than that, I can't even buy the cheapo jeans at Target because they are apparently designed for women without hip bones -- all the brands that fit me nice are ones which cost $45 ($30 on sale).

* For those of you who are confused about women's pant sizes, 2-16 are considered 'normal' and 16 and above are broken down to 'wide' and 'tall'. At least in the brands I shop.

Couple of new communities I joined. First is one of those pan-fandom RPGs: sabra_la_tau on Inksome. Basically the premise is throwing a bunch of characters from across the multiverse into a giant subterranean city without their memories and having them compete to regain their memories and get a wish granted.

I'm playing Zelgadis from Slayers (who is surprised? no one, that's who). It's interesting, because all Zel knows is that he's the only one who looks like he does, and he has no reason to think this wasn't how he was born. Yet, he still displays some sensitivity about his appearance -- mostly because everyone he meets is all 'WTF, you're blue!', and he's all 'how do you know that's not normal for some people?'. He still wants to fit in, but 'I'm different from everyone else, but there's only twelve of us' is a different boat than 'I was turned into a mostly-unique part-human monster by my evil great-grandpa'.

So, the other thing I found is [livejournal.com profile] story_lottery, where you either pick 7 numbers or have 7 numbers given to you that correspond to prompts, and you have to write 6 1,000-word stories and one 'bonus' 100-word story. (Those are minima.) I signed up because I need to give my writing and art a kick in the pants.
