Testing the waters...
Jul. 25th, 2007 09:17 amWould there be interest in a sort of fanfiction write-a-thon? Something like NaNo, but a little less intense?
The reason I ask is that I've got at least a half-finished Slayers fic on the back burner to write, a possible sequel or two for that, plus an idea for a Harry Potter post-series fic and an Avatar: the Last Airbender AU fic (which isn't getting written until Season 3 starts -- it's only two months, and I want to know more about the Fire Nation). So, something like a 'Let's all write fanfic and then share it for encouragement' type LJ Comm -- maybe even a 'Write X words every week'. But at more of a sustainable pace than NaNo -- something that could be kept up for a bit. I'd be willing to mod it. So, is there interest? And, if so, which service should I use?

Date: 2007-07-26 02:17 pm (UTC)I don't think I'd be too keen to start up again with it either, since much of my previous fandom knowledge has gotten pretty rusty and much of the newer stuff I've seen I've only caught sporadically so there are a lot of holes in my familiarity. ...not to mention, my writing energy really ought to be going toward Pathwalker if anything.
...in short, I don't think I'm the best person to ask. ^_^;;
