What dreams may come...
Oct. 30th, 2007 10:17 pmSo, I've been on anti-aniexty meds for about a month now. It's a bit annoying, since it seems like I now need an extra hour of sleep, even if I take them near bedtime. Of course, that could just be grad school.
Apparently they also make one have more vivid dreams. I've had three dreams in the last week
Dream one was me watching Avatar. Apparently the writers decided to make an AU episode in this dream, where Zuko and Iroh had joined up with Aang's group. They were at the circus -- I don't remember what Sokka and Toph and Iroh were doing, but Aang was trying to calm down Appa. Zuko and Katara were having one of those bicker-bicker-kiss types of relationships. And I can't help thinking (in the dream), 'God, this is a deliberate rub in the faces of the rabid Zuko/Katara shippers'. Apparently even my subconscious thinks shipwars are stupid.
Second dream involved the Three Musketeers being brought forward in time and forced to work for a pirate sorceress. They were trying to work their way free, and stay inconspicuous, despite being several centuries out of date. I kept thinking, you know, I really need to read that book. Captain Hook was also involved, but only in passing.
Third dream involved a planet with a plague. For some reason, Tagon's Toughs from Schlock Mercenary were called in to handle the quarantine. No, I don't know why one would send mercenaries to quarantine a planet -- perhaps to shoot people who try to break quarantine. For some reason, the Slayers cast (the main four, and I think an older version of Prince Phil -- he was sporting some grey hairs) were trapped on the planet, and were all 'well, we're going to die anyways, so let's have a double wedding'*. So, there was a wedding -- it was actually kind of a nice ceremony my brain made up, though I'm pretty sure Lina Inverse does not have the authority to marry Zelgadis and Amelia.
* The funny thing is, I'm sure that this fanfic exists somewhere. Certainly worse excuses for pairings do.
The funny thing is that I can trace the dreams to what I was thinking about before bed -- either a book I was reading, something I did on the net before bed, or planning fanfic. Normally my dreams are weirder than that.
