Hey, kids...

It's a science quiz!
One in five American adults were able to answer the first three questions correctly when given a multiple choice test. If you got the bonus question right, you are better off than over 99 of 100 Americans (half of them didn't even guess).
I need chocolate to deal with this nonsense.
* If you're the smartass who starts trying to estimate the water content of the Earth's mantle, or points out that birds count as dinosaurs you're thinking too much.
You also remind me of me -- hee, I remember the time I asked if the high school science knowledge test included 'white dwarfs' as stars, because those are powered by different energy sources.
- How long does it take the Earth to orbit the Sun?
- About how much of the Earth's surface is covered in water?
- Which came first -- the extinction of the dinosaurs* or the first humans?
- Bonus question: About how much of the Earth's water* is fresh water? That includes frozen fresh water?
- 1 year.
- 70%. Count it right if you guessed between 65 and 75%
- The dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, unless you count birds. The first humans depends on how generous you want to be with the definition, but H. sapiens appeared 100-200 thousand years ago.
- 3% -- 2% in the ice caps and 1% in all surfaces sources of fresh water.
