My psychologist suggested that my procrastination and the fact that it literally took hours to drag myself out of bed last week to work unless I had to be there by a certain time* meant that I was burned out and should take a 'me' day.

* ::waits for everyone with 'real' jobs to bitch about how the poor baby grad student cannot keep a regular schedule;:

Considering today was one of the first days I left the house at 10 for a while (and without any need to be in work before noon), and got stuff done when I got home other than vegging in front of the Internet, and that thoughts of 'day off' lead to 'you could go to Target and get the shelving you need', I suspect that this may not be the reason why I have been dragging my heels.

Damned if I know why I was so 'hiding in bed -- world can come back later' last week.

How about seasonal flucuations? I know that most of the people I know (myself included actually) have been like this the past couple weeks.

Really sucks for me because I have no reason to get out of bed other then I don't want to revert to the "vampiric" schedule that my body says I should be on because then if I get a job it'll be hell switching back. But yeah, last week I didn't get out of bed till noon or later most days (bad doobie!)

Normally it's worse in winter, when I don't want to do anything but veg after dark. Spring is when I feel more active, since it's daylight and stuff.
