My day today:
7:00 AM: Wake up, notice that it is snowing and windy. Debate merits of going back to bed.
8:00 AM: Okay, there's only so much procrastinating I can do in bed in the name of listening to NPR. Time for breakfast.
9:00 AM: Hell, it's still snowing. Wonder if they'll close the university so I can stay home and work here instead of going to group meeting?
11:30 AM: Nope. They won't.
12:00 PM: Wonder if I should call in sick and work from home?
12:05 PM: Wait, my neighbor is in my research group. If he can make it in...
12:25 PM: Okay, get my boots and my scarf and the hello, break in the storm. Still cold and 6" of snow and wind and lack of shoveled sidewalks in my complex.
12:35 PM: And the bus is late. Of course.
12:45 PM: Yay, the bus is here! Now, to negotiate the curb, which was just plowed into a foot-tall mountain of road snow.
I am sick of this snowstorm stuff.
