I need to work on this
May. 3rd, 2012 07:28 pmI've started walking into work -- well, walking to the north campus parking lot, then riding the campus bus the rest of the way. Between that and my mid-afternoon 'get up from my desk and go outside' walk, I'm probably walking about a half hour a day -- which is at least a mile. And, given I take five minute 'walk three times round the building' breaks every hour, my pedometer, which my nutritionist asked me to wear to measure how much exercise I get, is starting to regularly top out around 6000-7000 steps (maaaaybe 4.5 to 5 km (2.8 to 3 miles) a day).
And now when I go home, by 8 PM I'm ready to fall asleep. It's not even a medicine thing, as I've been steady with my meds. Also, my feet usually hurt by the end of the day.
Which is annoying. That's really not that much walking, even if it's starting to get to twice what I used to do. And I like having evenings to do things.
