beccastareyesThat's right, after a week or more of eating fudge and fish, boogie-boarding, getting sunburned on the one part of my body I forgot to get with the suncreen and playing card games with relatives I didn't even know I had, (tell me, what's my mother's sister's husband's son-by-his-first-wife's step-daughter to me?) I am back to Nebraska, land of flatness, lack-of-ocean-ness, unbearably hot temperatures (temperature at the airport when I landed: 104 degrees F), and my internet connection (which forgives the first three points). *huggles her computer* Let's never be apart again.
Some notes on my return trip:
Strangly, Logan Airport has less (or at least less obvious) security than Lincoln Municipal Airport. On the way out, or checked bags were opened and checked for bombs and such. oN the way back, if this was done, it was after we checked them. This time I remembered to take off my Swiss Army Keychain.
Airport food is expensive. We paid $6 each for lunch -- about the quality of the Student Union's food. (where I can get lunch for under $3, if I'm not that hungry)
LAmbert Airport in St. Loius has the WORST BATHROOMS EVER. At least 1 stall in every bathroom I went into had an unflushed toilet, and the floor was covered in paper and other things. If you have to go, go on the plane.
I need to title the Escaflowne fanfic I'm writing for Jennie. And type it up for the beta-reader.
