Dec. 12th, 2003 11:49 pmI saw The Two Towers Extended Edition....
SQUEEE!
It reminded me why I actually do like Tolkien elves -- the internet and so-called elf fans are a constant battle for me to stop. They just have this wonderful sadness to them that fandom!elves never capture, as they are too busy being pretty and magical and junk like that. I mean, the elves could look like Orcs (but probably with better detal plans) or Ents or Dwarves or Trolls or whatever, and they would still be neat.
Still had issues with Faramir, but not as bad. Lost most of them with Arwen, mainly after rereading the Appendicies and seeing a lot of that was taken from it. Managed to forgive Peter Jackson, in that he does seem like he's trying to make sure everyone gets their fifteen minutes.
It also just wowed me... for all my grousing, the movies are very nice, especially the Extended Editions.
I still wanted to see the Scouring of the Shire, though.
