beccastareyesGaming today was amusing... it was the Palladium game, where we're workign for a super-special cross-universe organization. We got reports of the enemy on an otherwise unimportant world -- not too unusual. Normally the party is three humans, one humanoid alien and my character, a mineral being. luludine) decides since a lot of the worlds we've visited so far have been human-dominated or human-exclusive, this one would be alien. He decided this during the sesion, so he decided to choose the dominant species by opening up the Aliens book to a random page. Guess which species he picked (here's a hint -- it was the species of a party member, and the humanoid's species was in a different book ^_^)
So, anyways, the party had to request some gear from our bosses (thankfully items to cast shapechanging spells were pretty standard for us -- what with me playing the rock and all), but we made it on-planet. My character thought this was great -- turnabout was fair play, and I think he was kinda curious how everyone looked like as his species, since he is far too used to being the only one of his kind (one of his higher ups is a mineral being, but a different sort) -- but one character was thoughrally displeased, and managed to notice every little difference. My favorite was this line (unfortunately, I have to paraphrase):
Briar (the other character): This not wearing clothing... it's so unnatural.
Ishi (my character) : You know, humans aren't born wearing clothing. They do take it off occasionally.
My character was thoughrally amused by the whole situation. So was I. He was less amused by the fact the situation down there was a political mess, but I just think that's funny, because some of the human planets we visited were just as messy.
